comp wont load

hi, when my sister turns on her pc all that comes on the screen is Foxconn, the make of her motherboard and it just stays there but then two days later she could press the power button and it boots up no problem, it can sit on the foxconn screen for hours.

anyone any ideas?

her comp is about 6 years old and running windows 7 32 bit
intel q6600 quad core
4 gig of ram
gefore gt 430 1gddr3
her motherboard is a foxconn, but i dont have the model number although it would be possible to get
 
Hi, I have completely cleaned he inside of the comp and the processor and applied new thermal paste and it seems to be booting up no problem now
