Company of Heroes issues

I just bought Company of Heroes on Steam during the half-price deal and the game is great but it randomly crashes during the game. I'll be playing a single-player mission and it will crash to desktop and a Relic error reporting window pops-up.

My temps are fine and I have tried on both low and high settings. This happens in no other game and the crashes are random meaning that it could be five minute to an hour in before it happens. The game is completely up to date and so is Windows/Steam.

I reported the error to Relic through their service and have tried Googling to no avail.

I don't know what to do and this is real frustrating as it makes it unplayable. Thanks for your help.
 
I've played through the game without getting errors but I have the DVD version. My girlfriend has the steam version and hasn't had issue either though, what's in the error message you are getting?
 
I tried playing through the same mission without dx10 enabled and it got though fine. Don't know if this is a fluke or not. As far as an error message besides the error reporting I saw no specific message but I will look if it should come up again,
 
That may be the difference, I can't run the game in DX10 mode (I have XP). DX10 was patched in well after release so it could have some problems.
 
Turns out it was an error with my drivers. 9.9 failed to install and I didn't realize it but after properly updating; the game seems to work fine in both dx9 and dx10. Thanks for your help guys.
