compaq 6350ca wont start up Help!

I have a compaq presario 6350CA and it wont start up. It was working last week and all of a sudden nothing. When starting up the computer I get a blank screen and nothing appears on monitor. If I turn the computer off and on a few times I sometime get a error message

201-Memory error
The memory test during start up failed. Removing and replacing memory modules can isolate the faulty memory. Also verify that the memory module are installed correctly.

Your memory module is dead or dying. Replace the module and you'll be fine.

Seems like your computer support DDR266...
DDR400 seems to be cheaper though...

I'm not sure if your computer will downclock this RAM to DDR266... Might want to ask another members opinion.

^ Otherwise...

I suggest 512MB - 1GB... Guessing your computer has 128MB stock. You should see an pretty good performance increase with 512MB, even bigger with 1GB...
