Compaq C700 laptop problem

Hey anyone help would be nice rite about now, i have a Compaq C700 laptop and the problem is it shuts down it doesnt restart nothing it turns on for a few and shuts down. Do i need a new motherboard?

Sounds like its overheating and its needs to cool down before it will boot back up for you. Try using a can of compressed air and blow out the air vents and see if dust comes out.

i already did that and im still havin the same problem when it shuts off it makes a loud click

My next guess would be a failing hard drive.

I went to a pc store and they told me it was the motherboard i don't know but i also re setted the factory boot up setting to normal
