It only has 512mb of ram and it has Vista yikes! I have Vista but you need at least 2gbs to run everything smoothly.It also has a very weak CPU.I would say not a good deal if you can't afford better than save up and buy yourself A laptop that has 2gbs and a core2duo cpu.

It's running Vista Home Basic though - not much is needed for that, but I'd say 1 GB of memory would be better.
But, like BlackHeart said, save up and get something better.

Well the computer is kinda low for what it is and you could get a better one, i say the one below!

The first compaq laptop is a bad buy. Little ram, and a bad processor. It is worse than current Compaq laptops, which are already budget laptops.
