Comparison

Ok, I'm not exactly familiar with similar processors between Intel and AMD, after reading the faqs and stuff on this forum, AMD seems to be the 'better' gaming processor, but I'd like to know, are the below processors comparable, and which ones are closest in speed and such.

Mobile AMD Turion™64 MT-40 CPU @ 2.2GHz 1MB Cache Ultra Low Voltage 25Watt w/ HyperTransport Technology
Mobile AMD Turion™64 MT-37 CPU @ 2.0GHz 1MB Cache Ultra Low Voltage 25Watt w/ HyperTransport Technology
Mobile AMD Turion™64 MT-34 CPU @ 1.8GHz 1MB Cache Ultra Low Voltage 25Watt w/ HyperTransport Technology

Intel® Pentium® 4 670 CPU w/ Hyper-Threading,3.8GHz,800FSB,2MB Cache, 64 Bit
Intel® Pentium® 4 660 CPU w/ Hyper-Threading,3.6GHz,800FSB,2MB Cache, 64 Bit
Intel® Pentium® 4 650 CPU w/ Hyper-Threading,3.4GHz,800FSB,2MB Cache, 64 Bit

Are any in those sets comparable? Would either of these (Intel or AMD) be better for a gaming laptop? Im also looking at prices for these, but I'd like to know which is overall better, without price constraints.

Thanks in advance

EDIT: As an afterthought, maybe this would have been better in the CPU forum...

well i while a pentium 4 is a fast processor, they will run very hot in a laptop, and the battery life3 will be appaling. the mobile amd cpus are better for battery life, but if you want a good performing laptop processor i would look at intel core duo. they are great dual core processors which can handle most of the games out there. plus dual core is more futureproof.

personally in a laptop, i would not go with the P4

I run a pentium 4 on my laptop and the battery lasts for about two hours. also, my CPU idles at 55 degrees and the fan runs constantly. My friend has a turion 64 cpu and the laptop is about half as thick and just as fast as mine, plus a barely noticeable fan. Go with the Turion.
