will i have any issues running a 3.2 pentium 4 processor on an nvidia 680i motherboard with 2 1 gig sticks of corsair dominator ram? the motherboard is compatible with that processor i know, but i just want to double check

depends on the RAM type. I imagine the mobo will only use something like PC2700/3200 RAM.

The 680I mobo is a socket 775 and uses DDR2 memory . Your Pentium 4 should be a socket 775 and should work fine. Just be sure that it is a socket 775.

yeah, it's a socket 775. the ddr2 i'm looking to get is clocked at 1066, and this may be a dumb question but will the processor affect its speed?

what you will have to do to get that speed of 1066 is lower your CPU's multiplier and raise your Motherboards FSB that will in turn raise ram speed to your desired level.

alright, that's what i though. doesn't seem like too big a of a task to accomplish
