in the specs for the mobo it just says intel i3/i5/i7 i know they are the same socket but this mobo was made before the 3rd gen came out, but does anyone know if it's compatible and would run smoothly or not?
Won't that depend on the BIOS version? That CPU support list has a zip file at the end for flashing/undating the BIOS. He may or may not have to do it but it's risky.
