Ok so I redid my list and I could really use someone's (an expert's) help double-checking compatibility. If someone could look through this list and make sure these parts would work together, that would be greatly appreciated.

It's all compatible. Video card is pretty low end, not sure what games you plan on playing. You really don't need a sound card unless you will be doing high end audio work. The speakers you use really determines sound quality anyway.

I would probably look at the gtx 750ti.

Consider aftermarket cooler, FX-6300 stock one is quite noisy. I always recommend getting either FX-4300 (and upgrade later to FX-83XX) or FX-83XX (like 8320, 8320E, 8350) right away.

Win 10 Retail is much better as it can be transferred to another machine and price is about same as OEM version.
