Decided what I will buy to upgrade my current computer:

PSU: Antec Truepower II 550 watt (89$ at Buy.com)

Mobo: Foxconn NF4SLI7AA-8KRS2 (110 $ at Newegg.com)

Case: Rosewill R604TSB (40$ at Newegg.com)

OS: Windows Media Center Edition (110$ at Tiger Direct)

Look good? I think this is the cheapest I can get each component for. I might get a drive, but I can decide that. Hopefully this will be the last of "is this good..." or "which would you recommend..." threads from me :rolleyes:

Will upgrade to 3gb RAM this summer, get a 360 as well, and a good video card this christmas, so I will soon have a near complete multimedia center. :D

Cheap sh17 320watt PSU
nVidia 6800 GTO
Cheap sh17 Dell case (one 80mm fan. for the entire system. CPU has...another 80mm fan)

I have a Thermaltake Big Typhoon, but I want to wait until I change all the other stuff until I add it.

True...but cheapness comes at a price. I got jipped online at some noname store buying my cell phone. It was going to be like 100-200$ but...it shipped and guess what arrived


A box with some lead cubes padded so they wouldn't make noise. :mad:

Taught me a lesson for sure. So now I have a limit.

if u have a typhoon y dont u use that as ur case i dont understand as i said i must have had to much crack(dont worry i dont use it)
 
Yeah, but case PSUs are supposed to be crap. Sides', the antec has SLI support, 550watts, 38A on the 12v. The rosewill probably will die out sooner then the antec, might as well get the antec sooner.
 
y dont u look for a case though without a power supply - by the way y dont u get a case with like a side panel cause i like those lol whatever u want though dude
