Component Resolutions 4870???

Alright, iv been running regular s video from my card to my tv, but I picked up a long component cable today. I cant get my card to display 1080i or 720p to the TV, it says invalid resolution, so im assuming it isnt getting the right res. How do I fix this? This Tv, is a CRT HDTV, not an LCD.

No one? Maybe its my tv, im going to attempt to get an LCD and just run VGA, but either way im still curious

Yes, my Tv displays the message, Invalid format. Even though the res I select is like 1920x1080 or 720 ect ect. Its weird, I could try HDMI, but I think im going to attempt to return the TV, maybe they will give me credit to upgrade it to a 32" LCD or something.
