I posted somthing like this but I have talked to some people and done more reaserch and found that alot of the parts I was using were not too good or there were better deals ect. Anyway I am building a computer for the first time. I wanted to know if some of you could please take a few minutes and look through all this and tell me if it is al 100% compaitble with each other and if there is ANYTING else I need (cables, drivers ect.) to build a computer, all I have is a windows XP disk, a cd bruner and a Cd drive. I would really aperiate it if a few of you could help me out here as I would really hate to get all this stuff and have somthing not fit or turn it on and have "ERROR" stamped across the screen. Here are all the stuff I want.

CASE- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=11-105-124&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE will 350 watts be enough?

FLOPPY DRIVE- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=21-103-203&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE

HARD DRIVE- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=22-148-022&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE you guys were right, a 10k rpm drive is a waste.

MEMORY- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=20-141-423&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE

MOTHER BOARD- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=13-137-046&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE

PROCESSOR- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-486&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE

VIDEO CARD- http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=14-125-161&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE

That is about all I can afford so please try not to recomend somthing more expensive unless it is really nessesary. If you guys are not sure about all this does anyone know if someone I could email that could tell me for sure.

Thank you to all the pleople on here that helped me put this list of stuff together.

Odds are you'll have the error. When you make core changes youll need to redo the installation

will 350 watts be enough
If its from a reliable maker you should be fine ... im guessing thats a noname PSU so prolly not but its up to you

Avoid the nForce3-150... that was discontinued by nVidia for being a seriously crappy and limited chipset. A k8T800 will outperfrom it for roughly the same price if not cheaper :)

Thanks alot for the help, i really aperiate it. So your saying this is a better mother board, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-131-490&depa=1 Could you recomend a good brand to look for on a power supply, I think maby I should just get a plain case and get a good PSU separate? Should I got with 400 watts or 450?

Also what did you mean about core changes and how I will get an error when I try to put it togethe?

Sorry for all these questions, Its just i am really new to all this but am dertermained to build a computer vs buying a $700 dell.

No. I said the k8T800 is a better chipset and normally id say that motherboard is also better but the ASUS Socket754 boards are a bit "wierd" so id stay away from them :)

Could you recomend a good brand to look for on a power supply
Fortron, Vantec, Antec, Enermax, PC POwer and Cooling, Ultra, Thermaltake

I should just get a plain case and get a good PSU separate
Definitely :)

Should I got with 400 watts or 450?
Not a world of difference.

Also what did you mean about core changes and how I will get an error when I try to put it togethe?
Core change = new CPU, new motherboard etc

I am having trouble finding a decent case and power supply. My buget is 70 bucks total for a case/power supply.

I found this case by Rosewill which seemed good and had 400 watts, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-147-011&depa=1

If that is not good could someone please recomend a good case and power supply that is no more than $70 total. I want to order it all from newegg.com since they have good prices and too save shipping.

Thanks,
Colin

thank but it doesn't look like it comes wiht any fans. what kind should I buy?

So when I buy all this do I just put it all together and pop in the XP disk and be done? I am kinda worried that I am going to buy all this and put it together and have it not work and not have a clue about whats wrong.

The fans depends on your taste for noise vs cooling :) A bunch of "stock" 80mm fans usually is sufficient though :)
