My computer has been acting crazy and I am trying to reload the operating system using the disk that came with the computer. For some reason when you cut the computer off with the disk in the drive and restart the computer it wont run the disk (never had any problems running any other disk). Its almost like the virus will not let it reboot my hard drive. When I restart my computer this pops up <RUNDLL> error loading "c:\windows\system32\sjigaxy.dll" specific module cant be found. When I have been using my computer for a while it will get to where it just wont let you click on anything like it freezes up but you can still move the mouse around!!!!!!!! I have ran 2 diff virus scans with multiple other scans and they all come up clean??? Anyways anybody know how I can reboot my system using the disk that came with it??????

Try downloading and running Memtest86. An bad stick of RAM can cause errors. If problems occur, try scanning for spyware/viruses. Otherwise, an clean reformat.

Thanks oscaryu1, is there anyway possible to just reboot my system? Why is my computer not running the reboot disk when I restart??

Nope, an bad piece of hardware cannot be fixed automatically by software. Reboot disk? What's that? Boot disk? HDD? O/S CD?

Take out one stick of RAM if you have 2. Then vice versa. Report results :)

I take it by 'reboot' you mean 'reformat' (wipe everything on the drive and start from scratch). I also take it that by 'reboot disk', you are referring to the Windows CD, or reinstallation CD provided by some major manufacturers.

In any case, to boot from a CD you will need to change the boot order in the BIOS. When you first turn on your PC, well before Windows loads, you should see a message asking you to push Del or sometimes F1 or F2 to enter Setup. Do so. (If you don't see this message, try repeatedly hitting the Del key until you are taken to the BIOS setup).

The procedure here differs slightly from BIOS to BIOS, but you will need to change the boot order to boot from CD first. Once done, Save and Exit. You should now be able to boot the Windows CD or reinstallation CD to format your drive.

Alternatively, if you suspect malware problems and would like to try to fix the system without reformatting, you can post a HijackThis log.

To do so, download the HijackThis installer from http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe.

Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

When the Notepad window opens choose Edit -> Select All to select the entire log, and copy and paste the log into a reply post.
Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

^ That's basically it. But make sure you backup any important files before doing that. After all, we don't even know yet if an reformat will fix it.
