Computer acting Up!!

my mouse and keyboard is acting really weird all of a sudden my caps lock seems to be reversed so i"m typing with caps lock on right now> the periods show up as >

my mouse is really weird too> it would move around normally and stop for about ten seconds and when i click something or an icon it would select from the top and drag all the way like if i"m highlighting somthing

when i click a link it would open another window>

help? :mad:

also when i go to shut down it now says hibernate instead of standby
 
try this
turn off caps

put your right finger over your right shift key
put your left finger over your left shift key
now frantically press them both about 20 times as fast as you can

do the same with the mouse, go crazy moving it and clicking both button very fast

crude.. but often effective
 
Hmm...everything was fine but theres the occasional pause by the mouse. Then it would just go crazy clicking everything.

Would I need to get a new mouse or give it a thorough cleaning?
 
Now its worse. It doesn't even move, before that, it jumped to my Start and repeatedly right clicking. I cleaned it the best I can (a ball mouse) and even uninstalled it and installed it again. I'm just tabbing constantly now. I guess its time for a new mouse, even though I've had it for about 3 or 4 months. What I don't get is that it would all of a sudden go crazy and stop working.
