Computer acting wierd...

So my computer is acting wierd lately. It restarts quite frequently and undergoes disk checks, sometimes deleting files and saying that there are bad sectors and what not. Ive run spybot and Avast checks on it and it doesnt seem to come up with anything. Also, my safari no longer works and the things on my toolbars no longer have icons just blank white sheets of paper on it. Where can I check for registry errors or whatever might be the source of this problem?

Could your hdd be going bad? Or have you tried starting in safe mode?
 
Sounds like your HDD is going out on you. You should download the hard drive makers disk diagnostic utility and run it to see if the problems can be fixed. However, if you are getting bad sectors, it's basically time for a new drive.
