Computer background

Im guessing this is the right place to put this so if its not then i apologize. My computer suffered from some virus the other day(I think because of internet explorer so now I use firefox) and now my desktop background will not work..It only uses color..if i try to pick a picture it wont work..any ideas on how to fix this?

RUn adaware, AV program (EX: like NOD32), Ewido, and get Hijackthis and post the log up in the security section

Change the theme to Windows XP if it's not already set to that.
this should bring back the Bliss background

Background still doesnt work..theres pictures that i could use but it wont let me click on them i can only change the color of the background.
