I'm using a Lenovo win7 PC and the battery life is terrible. It only lasts a few minutes before shutting down. I will be flying to DC in a few days and need to use my laptop on the plane. Does anyone know if Delta has outlets, or any advice on how to make my battery last longer without purchasing a new battery?
 
There are plenty of ways to make your battery last longer, but if it is only lasting a few minutes, you are going to have to replace it most likely.

How old is the battery? And have you kept it plugged in constantly for extended periods?

Best way forward is some hard info on the battery. download here http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/battery_information_view.html, extract and then open the .exe. report the info for Full Charged Capacity, Designed Capacity, Battery Wear Level, and if it shows on yours the Charge/Discharge cycle count.
