My computer just beepeed nonstop for a minute or so.....not beep...beep

but more of a consistent beep like
beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep for a minute or so

any explanations? :o

Hmm

Some hardware issue it seems. The motherboard makes that sound when for example a graphics card is not in the right way. It could be an overheat warning as well.

JAN :D

make sure all pci cards memory stick agp cards are seated properly dont forget to turn off your pc and unplug it first also use a anti static wrist band

Count the beeps and see if thier long, short, or both.

Go your motherboards website and look up diagnostic codes and find it there. It will tell you exactly whats wrong with your computer.

As antiodontalgic (whew, what a name) said, you'll want to compare your beep to the codes listed in the manual for the motherboard and/or on the website for that boards manufacturer.

Chances are it's complaining about either keyboard not there, video card missing or unplugged, or RAM not there.

You computer probably got knocked or something and something slightly slipped out of the motherboard.

It is best to unplug everything and look inside your computer to see if everything is secure.
