Computer Boot Problem...

I'm helping a guy start his computer that was damaged during shipping, he seems to have it all running except for the boot process. When it boots it has 1 beep with two different tones, equal in length, one high and one low. What is this beep code?

Each bios has a different beep code... What bios brand and version does he have?

The manual should have a descriptive list of each beep code. Does he not have a manual? If not then the mobo's manufacturer website should have a downloadeble one that will tell you.

You mean service manual right? Ive not seen beepcodes in user manuals for a loooooooooong time (of course ive not read them either)

lol whats the difference? The manuals that came with my last 2 mobo's (the one in the box) had beep codes for the NF7-S, and an LED post-code description for the 8RDA3+ (it uses that lil 2-digit LCD screen rather than beeps) actually it might use both...but i never had beeps on it so i wouldn;t know either.
