Hi this will be my first computer build and I would Love for the forum experts to look it over for any errors I have made.

I will be using the computer to run a small business, play games (mainly wow), and do some CAD (getting ready to build a house and am plaing around with some home/lanscape design programs)

Money is not really an issue, although i would rather not waste any.

I will be using a samsung SyncMaster 172N monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers that I currently own.

Total is $1300 at newegg

Thanks in advance for your help.

Instead of that, I would strongly suggest getting:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Processor
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Motherboard
Corsair 2GB DDR2 800 Dual channel Memory
ATI X1900XT (It will be plenty for any games you play)
320GB SATA Hard drive
If you want cooling, get the Thermaltake Big Typhoon, but forget the RAM heatsinks, as the Corsair memory will include them.

All that plus your case and PSU should be under $1300

more questions

Thanks for the reply,

The X1950XT was only $100 more than the X1900XT, so i figured it was worth the upgarde. If i go with your component choices do you feel that the extra cooling is an over kill?

The Typhoon is a great addition if you intend to overclock. As for the video card, if you're going to spend $100 more on the X1950, i'd spend the extra $30 on an 8800GTS.

Looked on new egg with the components you two have recomended, comes to about $1600.00. (with the 8800GTS)

I am really unsure what do do GPU wise, the X1900XT is $300 ish, the 8800GTS is $450 is that $150 a good investment?

Thanks again for your comments
