I am building my first computer and have a question regarding a power supply and a few other devices. I am building a gaming machine and going to eventually run two graphics cards (XFX 7800 GTX's) in SLI mode, 2 hard drives, 1 optical drive.
1. When looking for a power supply how many amps should the power supply have, total watts, single/dual 12v rails (one rail for each GPU). Will a standard ATX PSU fit most ATX cases?
2. I have read a few reviews for hard drives and have been leaning torwards the maxtor diamond max 10 300GB Hard Drive. Is this what you would recommend, I was told to avoid maxtor.
3. For the cd/dvd optical drive, I was intending on purchasing the plextor
716A. Is this a good drive to buy?
4. What is a good computer case? I am looking for something on the not so crazy looking side.
