Computer Build

Hello everyone, wonderful site here. I have been looking around and I would just like to post my planned build, to see if anyone has suggestions. The computer is going to be multi-purpose with Gaming, School, Recording Applications, and other multimedia formats. I already have a mouse, keyboard, speakers, and moniter from my previous computer. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Some questions I have are:
Enough Power Supply?
Components Compatible
OC Potential, but not priority (I know I need fans and heatsinks).

I'm still looking at possibly a different Video Card, HDD, Case. Also I wish to add in a sound card, most likely the Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer http://www.atic.ca/index.php?page=LongDesc&sku=37076). I would like to keep this build around the $1500 mark.

Thank you for the replies. Very imformative. Just a couple questions to clarify.

Taking a look at the power consumption for the video cards in crossfire (550W) should the PSU be around 600W-650W?

Is the x38 a large improvement over the Intel mobo? The ANTEC 900 seems like a logical choice, so would choosing that with TruePower 650W work well?

Have you read the other threads about the Antec 900? They might change your mind. And Running Crossfire is a waste of money. But if you do want Crossfire then you will need 700 watts or more.
