I am planning on building a computer and want to decide between two cases. Its the Cooler Master HAF 992, and Cooler Master HAF X. I want your advice to know if the HAF X is really worth the extra $100 or not.

Well, for starters the HAF X is a full-tower ATX case, and the HAF 992 is a mid-tower. Honestly, you'll probably be fine with the HAF 992. I don't really get into the whole $200 case thing. It's not technically even a crucial component, and I prefer to just keep my recycled Gateway Pentium III ATX case wide open and sitting on the floor at all times. So, unless you want a really big case, just get the 992. Plenty of epicness.
