Just bought this case, http://www.mplex.com/shop/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=prodshow&ref=163 should there not have been a black power lead with it to plug it into the power source in the wall?

It doesn't say, but you should get a power cord with it. Unless you're saying you already have it and there's no power cord...in which case they aren't obligated to supply you one since technically it doesn't say if it comes with one or not. But if you haven't gotten it yet and you're asking in advance, then yes they probably have included one.
but they really should come with one if you ask me.
