Hi,

I wanted to know about computer cases i dont know much about them I heard there 3 different kinds. I saw one for $60 (CAD Dollars), It has 8 expansion bays USB ports in the front but no power suppply. Is it too much for that or its ok. And what the best type of computer case

Thankyou.

$60 Canadien even is no big price for an atx case. The three main types for the desktop are compact styles or the older flat top with only two 5 1/4" drive bays, the common mid tower, and then the full tower cases. Those are catagories more then types there. There's all kinds! One link provided here for just one vendor will give you "some" but not any large variety even of what some custom or custom styled cases even gaming cases look like. http://www.xoxide.com/pccases.html

The best type of case depends on the application. If you are into ocing and gaming builds a case that offers plenty of air flow allowing large case fans or even some air conditioned cases is a thought there. For the basic case for nothing but checking the mail a model that allows sufficient air flow while not being elaborate in appearance usually works. For the work horse or server type build a full tower case with room for plenty of things like additional hard drives is where to start.

Thankyou for the site, thats helps alot. I had another questions the case i was looking at it had two usb ports in the front would it be possible to carry two usbs from the from the back to the front this is the M/B i have http://abit-usa.com/products/mb/products.php?categories=1&model=137

When going to connect anything from the front panel you look where? at the board's diagrams and connecting "additional" usb ports on page #19 in the downloadable user manual in pdf format. The manual indicates you connect any front usb ports to the two small blocks with each having two rows of small pins.

Those are located right behind the pci slots on that model board. Just follow the installation instructions and verify where you plug things in or things won't seem to work right. "now where do these go again?" "i must have forgot one to plug one... yips! i crossed the two wires!"

yup gota keep in mind not to make those kinda mistakes

The small plugs on the wires from the front panel are the worst in most cases since you have some eye strain there without a small pocket magnifying glass and a thin flashlight to get those on correctly. If you somehow move the wrong way and one pops off a pin you'll be scratching your head trying to figure out what's wrong.

But that's the fun part! It seems to happen to all of us at one time. aw crap not again! :(
