Computer configuration & upgrade potential

Hi, I'm new here and am needing to upgrade my PC (which is a Dell Dimension 4700). I've already increased RAM to 1.5 GB and have ordered a 250GB hard drive to add to the 80GB one that's already in this one (and full). I've also ordered a ASUS EAH3450/HTP/512M Radeon HD 3450 512MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready Video Card. I want to make sure - will both of these work in my computer without a motherboard upgrade? I apologize if this is a dumb question - I am brave enough to try to install upgrades --- but not knowledgeable enough to know if they'll actually work  I'll be happy to show you my current hardware if you'll show me how to find it :o

ETA - I think this looks like what my PC came with - but like I said I've increased the RAM to 1.5GB:

Thank you for your patience~

It's gonna be iffy with the video card. The reason being some of dells configurations will only work with certain video cards. I had the 4550 and would only work with video cards up to 128 mb. The only thing you can do is try and see if it works.

Melissa........

The specifications you linked to show a 305 watt power supply. When you add an additional hard drive and a more powerful video card + the RAM, you may be exceeding what that power supply can comfortably power...so, you may also need a new power supply.

At this point, what you are getting is an old computer with a few new parts...I don't think the upgrades are going to be cost effective.
