Computer continualy rebooting

yeah, what are your specs? look inside your computer and check all your connections, you want to try the simple things first.

was running a defrag, then it just started doing it. I have a p4

but yeah and whenever I turn it on it just keepes rebooting over and over

well, now by chance it its acting normaly. But I think it might be a problem with the operating system or maybe the hard drive. Do you think so?

Still more information is needed on your computer.

I agree with the Safe Mode, Then go to Device Manager, check for Issues between Hard Ware.

How many sticks of ram do you have inside your computer?

This is assuming you have 2

Try removing one, If still does it, Remove that one, replace with one you pulled out before

Due to a faulty motherbored, I only have one stick. but ill trade it out with the other one i had for the other slot. give me a sec

ok. make sure it is the right kind. if you dont have one try a memory tester. i think it is calles memory86 run it for like 12 hr.

I tryed the other stick and got into safe mode. device manager looks good but could this be another MB issue? I already know one slot doesnt work. It would just randomly restart sometimes when i had them both in. I started using only the good slot and had no issues till now.

Sounds like you now have a Faulty stick of ram

And your Motherboard sounds too be causing it.

Run your computer on the one stick of Good ram and see if windows will boot ok.

well i got the other stick now and its doing the same thing. what do I should do next?

scrach that it worked but it took a good long time to do so.

I think so too. I was wrong about it working also. it went to the blue screen error. so since its not working with even the good stick think it is yes, the mother bored.
