Computer crash and making weird noises while gaming

Recently i had this problem with a couple of games (they worked fine before, and for a lot of time). My screen goes black, and it says "monitor is going to sleep". Then theres a weird noise coming from my speakers which sounds like a power drill.

I have to restart the computer in order to get out of this crash. What do to?

Machine name: XPXP
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_qfe.130307-0423)
System Manufacturer: HP-Pavilion
System Model: GG668AA-ABT a6050.is
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4400 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Graphic: GeForce 220 GT

Is this enough?

And btw, game lags are much more frequent now. Does it matter if i have 44 free GB out of 291 GB?

Had this happening a while ago to my HP Pavilion. Its caused by the computer overheating, you'll need to get your fan cleaned out. When I got my fan cleaned out everything went back to normal and I was able to start gaming trouble free again (or at least as trouble free as a dv6 will allow).

Get some pressurized air and blast out all the dust and make sure everything is cleaned out.
