Computer Crashes While Playing Games

Every Game i play on my computer crashes my computer or the game closes out at random times, sometimes the sound goes out as well here are my pc specs.


CPU:Intel Core i5-3570K Quad-Core Processor 3.4 GHz

MOTHERBOARD: Asus MAXIMUS V GENE Z77 mATX DDR3 Intel LGA 1155

POWER SUPPLY: Corsair Professional Series 760 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Platinum Power Supply AX760

GRAPHICS CARD: GeForce GTX 660 TI

RAM: 8GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz Ripjaw Series (9-9-9-24) Dual Channel kit F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL
 
Have you tried an updated GPU driver? Are you running out of RAM? Which could be the nvidia streaming service. You can turn that service off in services under Admin. in the Control Panel.

I would run whocrashed.
 
If anything is overclocked, put it back to stock.

Boot into Safe Mode, remove your NVIDIA drivers and then reinstall them (also in Safe Mode).

You could try reseating your graphics card and possibly RAM - it might help.

If you still have problems, I would probably put it down to a faulty PSU. Do you have another PSU you can borrow to test your system with?
