computer crashes

I just built my own computer and added BF2 and starwars battlefront. Latly I cant even finish a battle, either it just stops dead or the screen goes black or it restarts. Is shows no sign before it does it, it just....does it. there is no lag or anything. Why does it do this and how can i fix it?

when the screen goes black, does the power light on the monitor flash like it's in standby mode?

also, can you still hear sound from the game?

i had the same problem with my ti4600.

i tried different drivers and it always happened. it wasn't just limited to while playing games either... i would crash in the same manner from the desktop.

i came to the conclusion my graphics card was going dead and bought my
x800xt pe. i wouldn't suggest going and buying a card just yet though.. make sure there are no driver conflicts and that all are up to date. if this is the case, try different drivers as well. let me know how this helps!
 
also, make sure that the card is pressed all the way in, and make sure the card isn't overheating, as well.
