Computer Crashing

Hi All!

My computer keeps crashing almost everyday or two. Very annoying. I am either getting the bsod or the machine just freezes. I think it could be failing hardware possible the power supply or video card. What is a good software where I can test what hardware is failing?

Thanks in advance!:)

Lets find out what is causing the bluescreens.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

john,

For some reason when I open the unzipped BlueScreenView.exe it doesn't seem to run?
Shows blank and 0 crashes?

If you are running any type of temp file cleaner such as ccleaner it will delete the dump files. Refrain from running it until we can get a log from Bluescreenview.

Run the BlueScreenView as soon as you reboot the machine from the BSOD.

There have been instances where I've had BSOD's but no dump file even immediately afterwards.

When it blue screens does it stop or does the system reboot on your immediately? Since you can't get a logfile then we need to either know the code that it gives you or a filename that it errors on. What are you doing when it crashes?
