Computer for gaming

Ok so I'm about to buy a new computer and was wondering if you guys could tell me if it would be decent for gaming and if it's a good deal. Just to let you know price was an issue so I'm trying to get the best bang for the buck.

the computer is a upgraded hp media center

intel e6400 core 2 duo 2.13 ghz
2 gb ram
nvidia 7900 gs video card
600 gb hard drive
included brightview 19 inch wide screen monitor
upgraded 450w power supply

total: $1350 CAD

Will it be good to play future games like crysis?

Don't buy HP if you want OCing. If you can build it yourself, you will usually find a cheaper/ better alternative.

wow you didn't even answer a single question of mine... Did I say anything about overclocking?
please only post if you can help me answer my questions. thanks.

What's your mean 'future'?
3 months? 3 year?
Everyone know we will soon have lots more games with DX10/ DX10.1... Depending on what is your accept level for playing game.
And E6400? outdated already!!
This specification was what ppl supposted to built in Feb 07, not now.

dx 10 games can still be played with a dx 9 video card... And the difference is tiny. the point here is I'm trying to build a gaming computer that will be cheap but still able to play games that will come out in the next 2 years or so.

May sound silly, but if your looking for a gaming system. You really need to be considering quad core, before someone says 'their not fully supported', they soon will be. A mate of mine has a quad core, 4gb of ram and a high end ATi card, and he runs games like bioshock and stalker and full settings, and occasionaly their is a still a little jerk etc. So seriosuly look into that..

quad cores are too expensive... I'm almost positive this pc will be able to almost max out Crysis and eventually when I need to and prices go down I can upgrade this pc further with a new mobo, proccesor, and video card.

If you have made your decision, why do you bother to ask other ppl advice?

Do you really need that much of a hard drive space?
I mean if you could reduce the hard drive size so that it is cheaper and go higher on your Processor, then your build might be a little more future-proof...

just a suggestion...

EDIT: just to add, you can always add more hard drive space later on down the road...

Well I would but the computer comes with it... I'm buying a hp and upgrading it. so do you think this computer would be able to run upcoming games?

Crysis is crippling the highest end computers that are out now. In other words:
QX6800
4GB of high end DDR2
two 8800GTXes
etc.

And you think that your computer will almost max out Crysis?

I'm glad that you have opinions, however, unless you are wanting to hear us out, it is not even worth asking us.
