Before I can sell my old computer is there a program that I can download to use to erase everything on my hard drive to make sure that I leave no bread crumbs behind
It as been provent that even if I do C:\ format the hard drive gets erased. However with the right software a person (exemple the FBI ) can get information that was left behind. Is there some way to make sure not a single personal information is left behind
yes . and u dont need fancy software to recover after format
just do a low level format AKA write zeros
there are tools for that
if ur HDD is WD go to the site and download the tool
