Perhaps an admin could answer this, why was the Computer Forum down for such a long period of time? I also received some database errors yesterday.
 
Good. Now we have a centralized place we can point the zillions of duplicate posts back to. The short version of what happened was that the web-host f*cked up (and yes, new webhosts are in order). With the back-and-forth between CF and the Webhost, the database-backend needed a thorough (read: manual) resynching to ensure data-integrity hence the longer-the-intiially-expected downtime.

For future reference, if you see posts with similar questions, popup, please refer them back here.
 
Yeah what happned?

I actualy got onto the forums but there was no posts..It was like all of the posts had been deleated:confused:

Anyway im glad ita back up and running...I miss this place when its down because i learn alot of things from here.:)

ye mate i totally understand wot ur talking about, hate it wen that happens. Like when u get bread stuck in the toaster, only to find out it was a bagel u put in there

It is still having some troubles. Or atleast I am. Ian's post in this thread was visible while I was viewing it normally, then I tried to post and it didnt appear in the posting page. Now I cant see it.

Thats not a glitch, I deleted my post, because Praetor beat me to posting what was wrong.

I was thinking that, but wasn't positive. Besides that it does look as if everything is back to normal to me, but I am not exactly sure.
 
I missed it too actually, and I seldom miss message boards. I guess I'm addicted. I was stuck arguing with some twit on the socialism of left-wing politics and the history and politics of communist Russia from 1917 to present. When I was finished debating with those lunatics I was bitching about Commercemas and paying tribute to a Pro Domina.

Sound exciting? No? Well, now you know why I missed this place. It's so much more fun talking about computers. :P
 
Sirkenin, I'll join you in a left-wing politic russia debate ANY DAY! I don't believe in their internationalizm or how the working class has full control of the government. although when germany turned to a democracy, the Reichstag just had too many flaws.. Article 48 for one.

You wouldn't beleive how much I wanted to go on here. I had nothing to do! Hehe...
