Hello.
I'm really in serious trouble and I don't know what to do.
Recently, my computer started freezing after 4-5 minutes in Vista. It start up perfectly, but after 3-4 minutes the computer just won't respond. The HDD light is on for around 5 minutes and then, it just turn off. I tried to let the computer stay on overnight, too see if it would unfreeze, but nothing really happend. Right now i sit in safe mode, on the computer, so I guess it's not overheating.

My computer is this one:

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66 GHz
Intel 945GM Chipset
1024 MB DDR2
120GB SATA HDD
NEC DL DVD-RW
Intel GMA 950 graphics with shared memory
12.1" WXGA - 1280x800
Intel 80281G High Definitio Audio soundcard
Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 4in1 card reader
IEEE1394 port
4 USB 2.0 ports
Intel ProWireless 3945 wireless card
Intel Pro/100 VE ethernet controller
Bluetooth v2
DVI output
S-Video out

Please help me.

check your temps to make sure it's not overheating. Turn the system on, enter BIOS, check system health for you CPU temp, if it rises sharply over 70 degrees C then something is wrong with the CPU/heatsink.

If not, I would reformat and try a fresh install of Vista.
