Hi, after re-installing my OS window xp media and thru the helped of other guys here , updating all the necessary microsoft patches and updates. After using 5 days now, another issued arised FREEZING in what ever I do means in internet, just opeining programs like clicking Nero it freezes. Even when I do control/alt/del to open the Task manager can't open it. So I decided to restore point , as of now I'm still waiting for the restore point to finish , but any thing should I do after this?

Yes I did installed the driver and bios update and some driver from DELL . I did also Glary utilities run registry clean up and repair. Run Malwarebytes no malware found. As of now it's kinda doing ok but once in a while it freeze. Will tell you if freeze will occur I hope not. maybe Glary Utitlities helped me fix the Registry.

I think your board is buggy.

I've seen this before with Dell computers. I've worked on 2 so far that I
could not diagnose or fix.

Just odd, odd "happenings" and I think something is prone to go out on
the boards. There's no other explanation for the one's I've looked at...

As of now my DEll computer working fine since I used the Glary utitlities and go back to system restore. i hope no more problem? Glary Utitlities is one great piece of program it helps a lot.

has the computer being cleaned recently, i mean from the inside?
if it's dusty, the cpu might be overheating causing your computer to freeze.
just a thought.

Where did you find your drivers?

I recently did my first O/S reinstall - and found the Dell disks pretty much useless. I couldn't find any drivers on the disks included with the computer - just a bunch of documentation. I actually went onto the DELL Website and used my service tag to get all teh drivers from their website onto a small flash drive - that I used in my freshly updated O/S.

I was also able to find a web page on Dell's site with driver install order for Dell desktops and laptops

1) DSS ( Desktop System Software ) - located under system utilities category on the drivers download page

2) Chipset - under Chipset category of Drivers and Download page

3) Video Adapter under Viceo Category of Drivers and Download page

4) Network Interface Card - located under Network Category of Drivers and Download page

5 - specific to laptops only so I'm skipping

6) Audio Adapter - located under the Audio Category on Drivers and Download page

7 ) Modem - Located under Communication Category on Drivers and Download page

8) Wireless Network Card - located under Network Category of Drivers and Download page

9) Touchpad, Pointer, Trackstick, Mice and keyboards - located under Network Category on Drivers and Download page

10) Other Devices
Bluetooth, Wireless broadband cards, PCMCIA / Smartcard controllers
Touchscreen digitizer, etc

You just answered your question, the same dell website as above driver that I did updated even the bios . Thats the only driver you can get from them I think so. but if you need to repair your registry try Glary Utilities in Major geek website. After I re-installed my OS xp media then I installed Dell driver that I had but it's kinda old so i had to go Dell website for latest update of all the driver.

About inside of the computer it was very clean I just clean up when I replaced the PSU and Graphic Card.

Looks like it's working properly right now!! Thanks for answering, I solved my problem.
