Computer Freezes when BF2?

Hi,
I tried to play BF2 a minute ago, and i froze just as the game started. Nothing was happening. So i hit the reset button. Tried again. This time i played about 2 mins and i froze. Reset. Tried again. This time i got as far as the game select menu, and it froze. Its only happening in BF2, and ive recntly installed Java runtime 6, so ive uninstalled that, limewire (which i installed with java) and Asus AI booster (Its always playing up)

Im going to test again, and ill be back to say if it froze or not.

Oh well, i restarted after unistalling Java, and it frozeas soon as i booted onto windows. It wasnt doing this last night on BF2, it wasnt freezing this morning either.

I tested in Single Player, and it still freezes. Ill try another game and see if it freezes.

Tried it in Sim City 4, no problems. What can it be? I was thinking it might be Gamespy, but im not sure.

Maybe your card/processor is overheating?

Yep maybe over heating, download the temp checker below and post back your resluts, also do you have the latest sound card/graphics card drivers?

Nope, its not overheating, and i have all the latest drivers. Its Only on BF2 that it freezes. Its weird!

If so, then it's either related to teh amount of number crunching required by that game causing problems (time for memtest... Knoppix Live! cd has memtest, you boot and hit F2, run memtest from there, IIRC), or it is a dirver interaction problem. Sometime the latest and greatest isn't, so try rolling back a version or two, and check your DivX, too.
