I have a old computer. Everytime I turn it on my computer works for about 5 minutes, then a blue rectangle appeared just above the windows start button in the left-bottom corner of the monitor, that says 'STATIC' in capital letters. The computer suddenly freezes and is from then on frozen. and a have to push the reset button. I have searched my computer for viruses and adware but the searches have not come up with any results. I would apreciate any help I can get.

Thanks

That's probably the problem, too little space left over. Start saving your stuff to CDs and free up the hard-drives. AFter that, defragment them. What exactly are you storing on your hard-drive? I have 144GB hdd and I've only used up about 10GB. There is no reason to use up so much space. Back up to CDs or DVDs.
