I have a similiar situation as PCguy , but I only have a $2000.00 budget with little or no gaming in mind.
My friend wants me to put a system together for him and he has about $2000.00 ,a couple of hundred more if really necessary. He is impartial to brands and just wants the fastest and best to do photo and video editing with multiple apps. opened at a time. The above price would be for the computer and monitor any thoughts... :)

And what position might this be?

Pretty much any $2000 computer hehe, not many earth shattering differences here unless you get heavy into the premier stuff but unless otherwise noted theres not much point to go intel here

A real monitor? Or a LCD? Id assume real monitor if he wants to do real work on video and photos....
