Computer has power but won't turn on...

Ok...so I put my computer together and it powers the motherboard, but it won't completely turn on. The motherboard is lit up and the LED code reads 8.3. (ABIT/which stands for ATX power ready). However, none of the fans turn on, (including the PSU fan) and my monitor is blank. I checked all of my connections and my equipment is all brand new.

Did you plug in the front connectors correctly? Make sure the motherboard is shorting and you remembered to put on the standoffs, and that your power supply was sufficient enough. (Is that the computer in your sig?)

Yes, that is my computer. I thought that I didn't plug them in correctly so I played around with them for a bit and still nothing. I believe by "standoffs" you mean those little things you screw in on the case so the motherboard is connected directly to the case?

Yes, did you plug those in?

I'm pretty sure that it will start, especially with that LED saying. To me it looks like it points to the front connectors. You can short each one at a time to find out which is which.

hey guys I have a similar problem, I used to have before I bought the new video card,
Antec Smart2.0 500w psu
7600GT video card
3GB Corsair XMS2

Yesterday i replaced the video card with a 8800GT KO and today when i was going to use the computer the pc wouldnt turn on. and the motherboard is lighted up orange.
