So my computer is full of viruses at the moment. I have Nortan anivirus(i know, garbage) and AVG free. My Background has been replaced by a flashing 'warning',and will not change in property settings, and their is a security report popping up in the bottom right hand corner. Norton thinks everything is fine and shows no viruses, while AVG shows several traking cookies and trojans.

Ideas on how to fix this?(Less $, the better)

EDIT: I also have Real av that i cannot delete

Download and run combofix from this site. Follow the instructions and post the log that it displays at the end. After running combofix. please download hijackthis and run a scan and save the log file and post it back here as well.

reformat the hard drive and reinstall windows put ONLY the files you need on A disk or a flash drive first because you will lose your files

The infection he has is real easy to clean up. A little harsh to be spending a couple hours to format, reinstall windows and all programs don't you think?

yeah I guess but still reformatting the HD will make sure that the virus is totally gone for good.

That doesn't mean that the virus/malware won't come back. And formatting and reinstalling windows everytime you get infected isn't practical.
