my computer is freezing up at every start up. i erased the harddrive to try and reformat it, but it freezes while i'm trying to install windows 98. any suggestions.

98? i never installed 98 before.. im went from 95 to ME to XP... but im guessing it should be similar to 95... well, what are the specs of your computer? if its old.. my suggestion would be just to buy a new one.. its not that expensive now adays if u go to computer shows.. u can get a pretty decent one for like 300-500 that could satisfy ur needs depending on what u want to use it for n etc..

i'ts not a very old comp. i'm only installing 98 cause it only has 64mb of ram and i don't plan on spending any money on it or to get a new comp. it freezes up in the very beginning.
