Computer Issue

I have a dell xps 410. It's 5 years old.

When I boot up my pc, I get this screen: click here.
So I press F1, and just after it finishes the win xp loading screen, I get this screen: click here.
I switched out the hdd with my mom's dell hdd which works fine in her pc and get the same thing.
So then I put my hdd in her pc and gives me the blue screen, but not the other screen I get on my pc.
I ran a chkdsk on my hdd from my mom's pc and it said it had one or more errors. And for some reason, it wouldn't let me use the "/f" parameter; it said it was invalid.

Could it be the hdd, the motherboard, or what? Is there anything I can do to narrow it down?

Windows won't work from mb to mb unless they are the same.
I don't know why the error in the first instance. Is the bios set properly for the original hdd?

It sounds like you have RAID enabled in the BIOS somewhere. Go through all the options (should be fairly simple on a Dell as most of the real features are locked down) and disable it.

Ok, the only other option besides "On" I found is "Autodetect / ATA" which I turned on. Also I found Sata-1 was On, which I don't have, so I turned it off and the pc works.

See, the original problem was none of my usb devices were working. No mouse, keyboard, external hdd, nothing, but it started fine I just couldn't do anything to it. Eventually, it started giving me that blue screen in the original post. But it seems to be working now, so thanks. I'm not sure if turning raid to autodetect worked or turning sata-1 off but at least it works.
