Computer Issues

Recently I have been having problems with my Acer computer with Windows 7.
I have had difficulty with internet access, occasionally I get straight on but mostly I keep having to restart the computer many times before I get access. Once I am on, I am on. I can leave the computer on for days on end and I don't loose the connection. I have changed all cables and the ADSL.I have restarted the hub (BT Home Hub 2.0). I have phoned BT for tech support, there is nothing wrong with the phone line and the hub displays blue lights all the time. More recently I cannot get a response from BT Yahoo or Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. BT tech support could not fix this. I can access Google Chrome and thereby get into BT Yahoo and my email. I subscribe to Eurosport Player which I have always watched on BT Yahoo but last night I tried through Google Chrome and it just won't load.
I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 which is showing no problems. In April my wife got as laptop which she uses with wifi. The Internet connection problem started in May.
In layman's terms, can anyone tell me what is wrong and how to fix it?

Many Thanks,

Steve.

I am not certain that Office 2003 is compatible with windows seven in every way, you may want to upgrade to office 2010 or 2013, that may be the root of the headaches, but you mention internet, are you meaning email? you could just grab thunderbird instead of outlook.

Office 2003 works fine with Windows 7. But I do agree that Outlook should be ditched (I hate it) and you should use Thunderbird instead.

As far as the rest of your issue, it could be add-ons/toolbars slowing your machine down and preventing web access.
