Computer keeps crashing every 5 minutes

I just reinstalled windows and all my old software.
And my computer keeps crashing all the time, this never happened before. I ran ad-aware. But i dont have an anti virus programme, its running fast, but keeps crashing mostly when i run sharaza, or most websites.
What can i do?
 
Damn, just when i thought it was fixed, it crashed again. Its like the system is really really slow, when it happens. But before that its running fast.
I ran the anti virus and deleted all of them, and i have run ad aware.
What do i do?
 
download microsoft maliciouse software tool from windows update and try that ,
when you say you deleted all the viruses found did you turn off system restore before deleting them if you didnt turn of system restore and run another anti virus check also make sure the anti virus program is up to date first if you find more viruses delete them restart pc and turn system restore back on and if this seems to of worked create a system restore point.
if the problem is still there it could be your cpu is getting to hot check temp of cpu in bios and post back
 
well, since u just recently installed, you shouldn't have too much viruses unless..

well, if you have the time, you can try another format. but do a clean one. stuff may of gotten mixed and messed up during installation.

then, first and foremost, after you have all "necessary" drivers installed, install the antivirus, then install your old programs.
--necessary meaning the drivers that you is required for your system to JUST work. like video card, maybe sound, keyboard n mouse if it requires a driver.

why? cause it may be your programs that are causing the crashes, so if you do an antivirus first, it can catch it (probably)
 
Hmm

Have any of you considered perhaps something more on the hardware level? I would check the memory with memtest and check for the temperatures as well.
