Computer locks up

Not sure if this is the right area for this question or not.

It seems like when I play games like BF2, the computer locks up after 10-15 minutes of playing. My temp is always between 113-121'F. Sometimes it will do it while burning a CD/DVD or converting videos or anything that might put a strain on the CPU. I replaced the ram because I thought that might be it. I've tried a different m/b, but that actaully acted worse (bad m/b I think) I've run stock vid card settings and CPU settings with the same result.
What gives!? Any suggestions?

It certainly sounds like a heat or stress-related problem... try running with the cover off the side, perhaps directing a household fan into the case and see if that helps... you may just need to improve the airflow.

Well, I thought it was a heating problem too, but I am running a bunch of fans...really more then I thought I would need. If you look at this pic, you can see two at the back that are blowing out. Then I have one on the side blowing in, two up front pushing air back and then of course the p/s fan.

It's possible. I thought about getting some heatsinks for the ram sticks, just been to cheap to do it :) I think they are like $5 each times 4. Might try that this weekend.

Think it's possible that the CPU is bad?
There's times when something is loading that it feezes the whole computer until it gets to a certain point in loading.

Update: I have been doing a little reading here and there and thought that maybe it might be p/s. It does have a 450 watt that came with the case, but if anyone can look at this pic and tell anything, please let me know.

Unfortunately, software voltage readings are none too accurate. If you could give me readings from a DMM, then we can talk.

you cpu is averaging around 50c, whats that q fan thing, could be a bit like AMD's cool n quiet, im not sure but if it is it could be that when your cpu goin onto load your fans aint speeding up, thus making the heat get more extreme than you think!

I guess I'm not sure what you mean on DMM. How canget those readings?
Wait, like a Digital Multi Tester? Never learned how to use one. :)

That temp is higher then normal, because I just got throught messing with that Q-Fan thing. Not sure what that Q-Fan thing is other then I think it makes the fans adjustable. Each selection will have either Disable or list the fan speed? What that means,I have no idea????

My apologies. DMM-- Digital Multi-Meter. DVM-- Digital Volt-Meter. MM-- Multi-Meter.

Essentially, any hardware device designed to measure DC voltages will work.

Well, just to make me happy, I went and bought a power supply since I kind of wanted to get rid of the ugly wires anyways. I bought an Ultra 500watt p/s that has the detachable cables. I checked the voltage in the bios and it looks like it's over 12volts now, but it still locks up!! Driving me crazy!!

I know this drawing sux, but it gets the point across. Does this look like adequete airflow? I think the temps seem to be a little high overall

Hrm... looks like you might have a little positive pressure going on there... For funsies, why don't you shut off and block that top fan, and see how the the temps go.

Bah... I orignally wrote side an then changed it...

Okay, let's see-- we changed teh PSU, tried different RAM... I wonder if one of your optical drives is having issues...?

I've changed about everything. It seems like all my problems started when I changed to the 6600GT and added another gig of ram. However, I did RMA the ram that I got and still has the problem. I just dont believe that it's vid card

What are you meaning by optical drives? I have no optical thing running that I know of

You've tried pretty much everything else... I think you touched on it in your original post: "anything that might put a strain on the CPU"
