REALLY loud noise like someone stratching a chalkboard. Can someone please help me out on whats causing this noise.

that is probably the hard drive spinning, and loading stuff, i would say it has nothing to do with the noise you hear the other times

its impossible that its coming from the harddrive because the sound is coming from around the cpu/cpu fan area.

Ok so we know what is isnt! What do your ears tell you the noise is?

What else could it be, The cpu fan?

Well according to you

Even when i stoped the cpu fan from spinning, the noise still came from somewhere under it.

I wouldnt expect it to be the CPU fan

take the heat seal off the CPU then reseal the CPU so that it is secure. turn back on the CPU fan. http://www.directron.com/type44.html

Just make sure you dont put too much thermalpaste as too much is worst than too little.
