What's the difference, if any between 2 GB RAM and 2GB Dual Channel DDR3 SO-DIMM at 1066MHz – 2 x 1024MB? (I really want to know which is better). Also, which is better; Intel® Core™2 P8400 2.26GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.26GHz?

Now, the main reason I'm asking this is because I've seen these set of stats on an alienware notebook computer: Intel® Core™2 P8400 2.26GHz and 2GB Dual Channel DDR3 SO-DIMM at 1066MHz – 2 x 1024MB. Then I looked at a cheaper notebook computer with the stats: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.26GHz and 2 GB RAM. Now, answering the question above will help me determine which is a better deal.

2GB RAM could be one stick of 2 GB. and the standard is unknown, could be DDR/ DDR2/ DDR3

e6400 is a desktop CPU
It should be 2.13GHz, 2MB Cache, FSB 1066, 65W

P8400 is a laptop CPU, 2.26GHz, 3MB Cache, FSB 1066, 25W

P8400 is better

I believe the other laptop should be T6400, not E6400.

Don't go for alienware, they usually overprice.
What is your budget? If you after gaming laptop, have a look on Asus/ Gateway, they usually provide better value.

I can actually pay up to $7,000 for a computer if I want. However, I just wanted to know that once piece of information. And yeah, I've noticed that the alienware are overpriced... What would be $899 without tax at one of a gaming laptop site I found would be 1,300 with alienware. I guess since their brand is well known, they're products are worth more...

Well, anyway thanks for the help! =]
