computer messed up

ok so about a year ago my house burned down a couple of weeks ago my brother went to the house and got the computer out the case is black and nasty but it started up so i plugged it into my monitor it works fine so i start using it i get on the internet im on it for a couple of minutes it freezes so im like ok so i cut it off and cut it back on and it says disk error press any key to restart so i press a key nothing happens does anybody kow whats wrong.

If the system was in the heat from a house fire it may be saturated with debris leaving a coating on everything inside. Besides a need for a thorough internal cleaning the information on the hard drive is probably so fragmented that a good wipe of the drive and fresh installation of Windows and all drivers and programs would be the way to go after you cleaned the case inside and out. Also a new battery for the board wouldn't be a bad idea either.
