After deciding to install a new video card on my comp, I decided to up my psu. After installing the two, I then proceeded to turn on my computer. After turning it on and seeing all the fans fire up, nothing happened. The mobo had power as well as the fans from my case, psu, cpu, and video card. I checked the other hardware(HD, cd drives, floppy) and none of these had power. The monitor isn't recieving any signal. I tried using my old psu to see if the psu was a problem, but the same thing occured. I also tried hooking up my old video card but same results. Is it the motherboard? Any help would be appreciated.

Before assuming anything recheck all connections to see if they are plugged in correctly. Sometime the small plugs from the case harness for reset and the power switch can lift off of the small block of pins on the board. That will goof it up fast. You may have tugged on those without realizing it.

Did you plug the power cable into the video card? (if it has one)
Sankaman tried an older card as well with no results. What happened here upon slapping the new case together was simple to fix. When first throwing on the breaker switch on the supply drives lit up and fans spun briefly. And then everything went blank. The small plug for the front panel power switch had simply lifted off of the pins on the small block.
Recheck those then start going back over the user's manual and the wiring diagram before assuming a bad board or supply. Make sure you plugged in the yellow and black four wired plug that goes in near the cpu socket there too. Without that in the system will fail to boot.
That what it often is something simple. At least you know it wasn't a hardware fault being seen there. On any new build or hardware replacement look over the simple things first.
